A hat for Kerry Ann

The sun is shining and it seemed like a good day to make a sun hat!

It is made on 6mm needeles in treble crochet, finishing the head part with a row of firmer double crochet, then building up the frill by doing 2 trebles into every stitch for 2 rows. I love how you can make up the shape as you go along – though it would be harder to do the fitting on a real baby!

The yarn was a left-over from my mother, a sort of multi-coloured acrylic, roughly double knit in thickness. Thanks Mum.
