One good turn

Do you remember a little while ago that I was tearing my hair out over these squares?

I just couldn’t get the colours to work for me, and decided for once to stop trying and instead give the squares to a good cause. Well I had a lovely surprise the other day when I read this post to find that Jan (aka the Snail of happiness) had made a beautiful lap blanket from them. The black border gives the whole blanket a stained glass window effect, which I think works rather well.

I am so, so glad that she was able to make something useful from them, and I have the extra pleasure of knowing that it is supporting something really worthwhile . Thank you Jan!
